Focus

Health care reform: 

-Tax credit to health care professionals and institutions who see and treat indigent. 10-10/20-20 program

-Remove obstacles from insurance company competition.  If they cover indigents, tax credit.

-Reform Medicare/Medicaid.  Faster payments, easier to understand coverage. Prosecute cheats.

Indigent coverage to include opportunity for community service to pay-back.

(Yard cleaning, neighborhood revitalization, etc.)

-Malpractice reform

-Medical savings accounts…tax free

Federal Budget:

-Slam on the brakes and start backing up.  Stop selling our future to China. We have a BIG JOB!

-Shut down and defund useless federal agencies.

-Stop paying Czars.

-Stop earmarks

Abortion:

No federal funds, no federal authority.  State issue 

I am Pro-life. 

No partial birth.

Jobs:

Unemployment rate above 5%, tax rates fall by 5%.(10-10)

Feds reduce workforce 5% (10-10)

Tax free work zones, tax free business start up (10-10)

Companies make money, everyone makes money. Companies suffer, everyone suffers.

JOBS COME FROM BUSINESSES!  They must be healthy!     

Unions encouraged to be company stock owners, and have a stake in success and responsibility in failure Stockholders have rights!   (not today, though)Reduce/remove/reverse burdensome regulations.. CAFÉ standards, EPA, etc

Borders:

Slam them shut!  Build the fence. Enforce our immigration laws.  Fund the Border patrol. Military has no constitutional authority internally. 

Justice:

Adhere to the principles of the best written document in the history of the world.  It means what it says.

Oppose Judicial activism and fiat.

Criminal control.  Joe Arpaio, Sheriff in Arizona, has the right idea.

Foreign terrorists have no constitutional rights, and are not covered by the Geneva Conventions.

Military tribunals instead of Miranda rights and civilian courts

Keep Guantanamo operational

International:

Friends are as friends do.

We have liberated >50 million people from tyranny, in this decade.

We made a decision to go to war.  We must honor the decision and the men and women we sent to do the job.

If we see a sucker-punch coming, we MUST take preventive steps to stop it, and to remove or damage those who would throw them. 

Education:

Focus on the basics. RRRS. Use retired volunteers for additional assistance.  Tax incentive to volunteers.

Reward performance of students, teachers and school systems.

Defund poor performance, offer alternative school attendance. Vouchers for money to go with the student.

College Tuition increases to be at or below inflation rate.

Legislation:

To be written in plain English

Bills will be available, online, for a minimum of 7 days so we can all read the bills

Any earmarks in the bill will be available for review by citizens

Once bills are online, they cannot be altered in any way. No earmarks or amendments can be added. Any changes after 7 days force another 7 days.

Retirees Delphi:

They got cheated.  Un-cheat them

Fannie/Freddie

Complete review and restructure of the need for this organization and it’s leadership

Global Warming/Cap and Trade:

Total fraud and everything related to it is.

 

PLANS FOR THE AREA:

 

I will fight for EVERY brother and sister citizen and every “class”

 

What I will do:

Pursue any and all legal options for bringing businesses to the valley,

     including foreign, domestic and governmental, as well as by tax incentives for new businesses

Incentivize local businesses buying local steel, and local products

Incentivize development of local resources, hills, valleys, rivers, ponds and lakes

 

I WILL work with only federal budget money that is available

I WILL read any bills I don’t write, prior to voting on them

I WILL meet with my fellow neighbors and community, face to face, regularly and when they ask

I WILL make it my business to initiate review of federal bureaucracies and their budgets

I WILL fight to stop crushing regulations on all of us by elected and unelected bureaucrats

I WILL immerse myself in the health care debate.  No one there now knows what they are doing.

I WILL support drilling for oil and gas, mining for coal, and building of coal, gas, and nuclear power plants.

I WILL support our local unions when they are being wronged

I WILL support our local businesses when they are in trouble

I WILL support our veterans, our military, our police and our firefighters, in every way I can

 

What I will not do:

I WILL NOT support any deficit spending other than for military reasons while at war.

I WILL NOT write any bills that expand the deficit

I WILL NOT approve of federal mandates that are not funded.

I WILL NOT support ANY additional taxes, and will fight to reduce current tax rates

I WILL NOT allow ANY U.S. government to nationalize more businesses

I WILL NOT blindly support any proposals contrary to the U.S. Constitution, and I don’t care which party brings it.
